Fundraising
Albertsons – all year long!

One "Buying Power" Fundraiser is the Albertson’s Community Card.  If you already have this card, you will have to renew
it at the beginning of the school year.  If you do not have this card, you can register your existing Preferred Savings card
(the little blue one) to have contributions sent to the band.

To sign up or renew, you can do it right in the store with any cashier as you check out (it just takes a minute) or  go to
www.albertsons.com, click on "In the Community" (down on the bottom right), and go to "Community Partners" (this may
take a little longer to get it linked up).  Just remember to swipe your card each time you shop.

  • Our Albertson’s ID No. is 4 90001 05934 1
  • We are registered as “Savanna High School Band & Pageantry”

Albertson’s fundraisers support the entire band.
This part of the site is dedicated to information on "all organization" fundraising - ways and events
to benefit the whole band.  We have lots of different things each year,
and there are a few like
Albertson's, Escrip, Car wash, and dine out events
listed down below!

Company Donations
However, a big part of our group fundraising is coordinated "organizational giving".  That is where
various companies donate various things to aid the group.  This can be direct musical items (we
have had instruments and other items directly) or just "other stuff" that we need to run an
organization (think about it, we use printers, paper, toner, fuel, construction materials, paint, sound
and electrical equipment, food, accounting and other business services ... and that does not even
count the items we use for support - like gift cards to almost any store or restaurant.

Who can help!
The key to most company donations is the personal connection.  Yes, many companies do grants
and donations based upon cold call solicitations - but the best way to get such a donation is
through a personal connection - meaning companies that EACH OF US come in contact each day.
It may be the company that you work for, or work with.  It may be your favorite restaurant or hair
dresser - your mechanic or where you bought your car.  How about that contractor that has some
extra materials or insurance agent that wants some extra advertising.

So ... who can help?  It is each and every one of us!
Escrip – all year long!

A second "Buying Power" Fundraiser is called Escrip, and again takes just a few minutes to set up on line.  You may be
familiar with the paper scrip program, where you purchase scrip up front to use for shopping later.  This is the electronic
version of this same program, and requires no upfront purchase.  You register your grocery cards (Vons and Safeway),
and your debit/credit cards on their secure website.

Friends and family across the country can also participate, as there are participating merchants nationwide.

You register by going to www.escrip.com .  There you can also see a list of merchants by area.  Again, this is a totally
secure, encrypted site, and your information will not be used for any purpose other than to raise funds for a great cause
- your child!

  • Our Escrip ID is 500004334
  • We are registered as “Savanna High School Band & Pageantry”

Escrip fundraisers support the entire band.

Dine Out!
Join us for dinner ... and help make money for the organization!
Here are pictures from a couple places we went.  How it works is
this, everyone that brings in a flier on the night of the fund raiser
counts.  Based upon the sales, the restaurant donates a
percentage to the organization.
So, come out and join us!
Go Rebels!
Note that there is special fundraising
that the students can do that benefit
their accounts directly (eg: Cookie
Dough sales).  Since that goes
directly to the student account, and
not the general fund, information on
those activities is found o
n the
Student Credits Page
How can you help:
But I know that the hardest thing to do is actually approach the company - what to say and how to say it?!  Well, that is
why we have come up with a little help - Mr. Belski wrote a "
sample donation" letter - with information about the group, our
purpose, and needs.  Down load the generic letter below and finish it off with the company details.  Hand it (or mail it) to
your favorite companies but feel free to add that personal touch!

The Word version obviously allows you to edit right away, you will have to re-write the PDF file, but not everyone has
Word and we wanted to make sure you got it!
