Donations

What do 400 potatos, a TS Gator, 100 cases of water,
a 6 foot Bar-b-q, a pocket trumpet,
and a dozen round tables have in common?

These are all items that have been donated to the organization permanently or for use at special
events.  We are forever thankful to the many individuals, businesses, churches, and other
organizations that have contributed to the students at Savanna.
Right now, even with our large event fundraising, each student is responsible for over $600 each
through personal fundraising or participation fees.  Our goal would be to reduce that by
significant organizational fundraising - if you have any ideas or some great contributions, please
let us know.

Our most obvious need is during our tournament in November when we need food, equipment,
and supplies, to run the many aspects of the event.  It might surprise you - high speed copier.
Bar-B-Q.  Light towers.  Hundreds of pounds of chicken.  Lots and lots of hamburgers.  Golf cart.
Cheese.  And the list goes on and on.

Here is a partial list of tournament items we need each November:

However, through out the year there are many ongoing needs - both large and small.

Wish List:

Big stuff we would like to have, but
can't afford right now ... maybe you
or your company might have a
"solution" for us?

-
Truck Replacement - our 1979
Ford has served us well, and for a
loooong time.  We use it all year
long!  Have a new / slightly used 16'
box truck you would like to donate?

-
12 X 16 (or so) Trailer to pull the
Gator and carts to our performances.

- Pay off the debt! To keep up with
many years of usage, the Booster's
have made significant investment in
new band equipment.   Currently we
owe about $15,000 over the next
three years for new pit equipment
and drumline.  If we could pay it off
early, it would not only save interest
costs, but also help the year to year
bottom line by about $6,000!
Idea Checklist:

We use all sorts of things all year
long:

- Mechanics (Gator, Trailer, Truck)
- Water (lots of rehersals)
- Printing
- Gasoline
- Instruments (of course)
- Welder
- Woodwork
- Drum Heads and equipment
- Buses (drivers) and trucks
- RV for support
- Propane / Bar-B-Q

I bet we could use what you got!
Sometimes we don't even know how /
what to ask for.  If you have a
solution for us, send us an
email!
